there will be some directive I'm sure that will line the elders up without the rank n file knowing about it, some secret letter which will be directed at the elders only. We will have to watch with some more leaked information.

How Important Is Progress?
by metatron ini realize that people from many cultures come to this site, though mostly english speaking.
i watched a bbc report about a 3rd country and wondered:.
how important is a sense of progress in your culture - and in the "truth"?.

progress is anything defined as the Borg as kissing the CO A$$, or local elder, any mind numbing task with large amounts of time consumed with next to zero reward

Is College Worth It? Clearly, New Data Say...
by NewYork44M ina new set of income statistics answers those questions quite clearly: yes, college is worth it, and its not even close.
for all the struggles that many young college graduates face, a four-year degree has probably never been more valuable.. here is the article from the new york times:.

I know that when the CO makes his rounds he will be an enforcer and make sure that the elders do in fact fork over the money over and above the $5000

The List, by "Prominent Bethelite"
by morloc ini occasionally pop through here to catch up on the latest, but this time i'm going to pop my own post on here.. some of you internet oldsters may even remember this.
my first experience on the internet regarding discussions about jehovah's witnesses and the watchtower took place on a now-obscure usenet group, before i eventually stumbled across hourglass2.. during those days, there was a poster who went by the name "prominent bethelite," an otherwise anonymous individual whom i remember most for an extensive, exhaustive compilation of date-oriented remarks, predictions, and expectations by the watchtower organization down through the decades of its history.. it became known as "the list" and it's definitely lengthy... but a fascination look at the abundance of errant statements made through the watchtower's history.. if you're curious, it's been available for a long time on hourglass2's site, and can be seen using the link provided below.. the list, compiled by prominent bethelite (1999).
that's about it for this stop through here.

The Imaginary Kingdom Of God And The Delusional Cult Leaders Of Jehovah's Witnesses
by frankiespeakin infor more than 100 years the watchtower played with the date 1914. some fairy tale interpetation about the lenght of certain pyramid passage way in egypt and a babylonian king regaining his sanity, not to mention a whole lot of sencondary fulfillment and a tremendous amount of gulibility and fugded figures for the ancient history dates of supoosed events.. basically it is the wild imagination of the writers and leaders of the watchtower printing corporation and it is used to sell more books that proclaim to unlock the mysteries of the bible and then use them as a sales pitch to get free workers to sell their printed product, a money making enterprise being passed off as religon to avoid taxation and alimony payments to russel's wife and one time co editor.. russel took a fancy to being reverved for his role as top ceo of his own company, and begrugingly excepted the title trust apon him by his indoctrinated readers, who following his cues, appointed him to the office of faithful servant mention in the parable about such a servant.. this seemed to work out good for the corporation but latter when its founder died, it caused problems for a book selling lawyer, rutherford, who managed to seaze power and kick to the curb any not following his lead all opposition was squashed and he then ruled supreme over the corporation.
later he went on to meet the lord in the air and rule with his noble faithful servant of the lord.
still no proof for this kingdom's existance except some corporation's claims that it was in operation since 1914.. but thru it all the hope and imaginary kingdom they have built up in the minds of their free labor drones has be able to do absolutely nothing, but strangely thru the power of the treat of disciplinary action the watchtower corporation has been able to keep the rank and file working for this imaginary never done anything kingdom of god, even till they die they hold on to this pipe dream.

2014 summer conventions to have live video and audio feeds
by dropoffyourkeylee ini have heard from reliable source that this summer's conventions will feature video of various gb members as they speak and announce releases.
the regional (as opposed to the international conventions) will have numerous video monitors all around.
anyone else heard about this?.
-
Beth Sarim
I see it too as a control tactic with this 2014 marking the big 100 year mark, trying to stir up hype with the GB trying to look more visible, that's all.
